When it came to stuff like that, I could always just play.
I live not in my memories of the past nor my aspirations of the future. I’m inclined to say I live here—amidst the present—in every moment as it passes, but I’m not sure that’s true either.
My life isn’t preserved in history books nor reserved for the formulation of hypothesis in regards to the future. However, I’m not sure either that my life lives along the same trajectory as others nor in accordance with the same linear function of time that dictates the rest of the world.
I’m not always sure where I’ve been,
I’m never sure where I’m going,
but I know who I am.
&
despite the fact I don’t know where I am,
I know that I’m going.
